The aim of the annual orientation trip is to introduce Dutch, Flemish and international professionals in the visual arts to art and culture from Asia, Latin-America and Africa.

In 2007 the orientation trip included Guadalajara and Mexico City (Mexico) and Curacao (Dutch Antilles). Participants of the journey were Rachida Azough (creative director Kosmopolis, Rotterdam), N'Goné Fall (independent curator and consultant Senegal), Niilofur Farrukh (independent curator, Nukta Art, Pakistan), Nancy Hoffmann (Instituto Buena Bista, Curacao), Ola Khalidi (Makan House, Amman Jordan), Martijn van Nieuwenhuyzen (Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam), Els Roelandt (A Prior, Gent), Robbert Roos (Kunstbeeld, Rijswijk), Mirjam Westen (Museum voor Moderne Kunst, Arnhem) and Eva Wittocx (STUK, Leuven).
