Lieve D'hondt's work encapsulates the classic working processes of sculpture, drawing and architecture, whereby the boundaries between the various disciplines fade into one another. The multimedia interventions and installations play on the parameters of presence/absence, time, space, codes and manifestation. Construction and reconstruction of structures subtly refer to the process of perception and the cultural context. Recent projects have focused on playing with space and interpreting its perception, meaning and content. The choice of material and the positioning of the elements in relation to each other and in space are composed deliberately.
