China - 7th Shenzhen Sculpture Biennale - Kelly Schacht, Katleen Vermeir and Ronny Heiremans

The 7th Shenzhen Sculpture Biennale takes place from 12th May to 31th August 2012 in Shenzhen, China, is organised by OCT Contemporary Art Terminal and curated by Liu Ding, Carol Yinghua Lu and Su Wei.

The curators haven chosen "Accidental Message: Art is Not a System, Not a World" as the exhibition title, in an attempt to acknowledge the importance of the individual spirit, systems and orders in both our creative practice and our imagination of the world.

Earlier this year, Liu Ding and Carol Yinghua Lu were invited by Extra City and BAM in the framework of the exhibition The Residence (reading room) by Katleen Vermeir and Ronny Heiremans. As a result of BAM's visiting programme, Liu Ding and Carol Yinghua Lu invited Kelly Schacht, Katleen Vermeir and Ronny Heiremans as participating artists for the 7th edition of the Shenzhen Sculpture Biennale.
