The study 'Financing the Arts and Culture in the European Union', commissioned by the European Parliament, describes the various forms of financing culture in Europe during the period between 2000 and 2005, focusing on the state, the market and the non-profit sector.
The analysis covers subsidies and other types of public finance, whether direct or indirect, as well as private financing in all its forms: individual, business or non-profit organisation donations.
