Ostend - Mu.ZEE - PPP, Public Private Paintings

Mu.ZEE's intention with the PPP, Public Private Paintings exhibition is to take stock of contemporary painting and explore the possibilities for partnership between public and private collections. Public Private Paintings is a tribute to collectors

In addition to the presentation of a selection of art purchased by the SMAK, M HKA and Mu.ZEE in the period 2000-2010, fifteen private collectors are also participating in the PPP exhibition. The curators and private collectors have contributed their own personal selection which has been supplemented with a selection chosen by Mu.ZEE from all the participating collections. More than seventy Belgian and international artists of various generations will be represented with one or more paintings, including Tomma Abts, Abel Auer, Michael Bauer, Bert De Beul, Michael Borremans, Cris Brodahl, Brian Calvin, Robert Devriendt, Stef Driesen, Marcel Dzama, Tina Gillen, Wade Guyton, Eberhard Havekost, On Kawara, Peter Land, Albert Oehlen, Laura Owens, Gerhard Richter, Ed Ruscha, Wilhelm Sasnal, Helmut Stallaerts, Walter Swennen, Michael Van den Abeele, Jan Van Imschoot, Jacub-Julian Ziolkowski and Thomas Zipp.
