Brent Klinkum

Born in 1960, Brent Klinkum studied geology and psychology at Canterbury University in New Zealand. In 1994 he founded Transat Video, a nomadic screening and exhibition structure in Caen, France. Also from 1994 to 2001 he was assistant director of the Contemporary Art Centre in Hérouville St Clair. 

Brent Klinkum has directed Transat Video since its creation in 1994.
Based in Caen, France, Transat Vidéo proposes yearly around a hundred different screening programs in cafes, galleries, museums, cinemas, festivals, fine art schools, in the countryside... Most of the programs are inspired by themes in relation to the context in which they are screened. Flipbooks, photos, performances, sound works, readings by actors regularly accompany the films and videos. Transat Vidéo also curates several exhibitions every year and co-produces installations and videos.
