The Institute for Cultural Studies is a research and educational unit linked to the Faculty of Arts at the K.U.Leuven, Belgium.

The Institute for Cultural Studies is situated on the crossroads of theoretical reflection on cultural phenomena and the diverse practices of cultural mediation. The Institute's intellectual aim is to study the relations between the arts, media, and society at large. Its approach is interdisciplinary.

The Institute offers an MA degree in 'cultural studies' corresponding to 60 ECTS points, which can be completed in one year (full-time) or two (part-time).

The Institute does research in the following domains: text/image studies, visual culture, new media, performance and dance, and cultural communication.
