'Het Vanitasrecord' van Koen Theys behaalde de prijs van de jury op het 'III International Festival of Audiovisual Arts' in Volvograd, Rusland.
Commentaar van de jury:
' ... So we would like to send all the warmest congratulations to Koen Theys and thank him for his wonderful installation, film and ability to include an endless social sphere in the body of an art work! It is certainly ironic that the artwork related to Vanitas in such a polyvalent and multifaceted approach continues to assemble new layers of social sensation and vanity, but it is very important and intellectually stimulating the way it experiments with and simultaneously observes the borderlines between the social and the artistic.'
