The E-CULTURE FAIR 2011 is a showcase of Flemish innovative projects resulting from collaborations in culture, creative industries, research and education. This GARDEN OF E- focuses on a variety of e-projects concerning digital heritage, user participation, gamification, edutainment, the internet-of-things, open source collaboration and innovation etc. The set-up of the fair with installations, prototypes, demos, live presentations and living lab experiences encourages encounters, exchange and future collaborations between Flemish and international creatives, artists, researchers, designers, platforms and institutions.

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly takes the form of a trilogy at De Garage in Mechelen and the Cultural Centre in Strombeek. A broad spectrum of activities – exhibitions, film, theatre, concerts, workshops, performances and talks – revolves around the concept of ‘beauty’.

On October 25-26th, different supporting institutions for the arts in Flanders will organize a two-day conference on sustainable international culture policies in the context of the Belgian EU presidency.

Dries Bastiaensens’ Treecreeper and Made-up by Mirjam Plettinx, both graduation projects from the KASK and St Lukas film academies respectively, are to be shown at this year's 50th Annecy International Animation Fest (7-12 June). The films screen in the Graduation Films category, where they are among the 50-title strong selection.
