From 2010 to 2012 an international team of experts will work on the project Orban Space: The Work & Practice of Luc Deleu - T.O.P. office. The project investigates and presents the practice and work of the Antwerp-based architect, artist and urbanist Luc Deleu. Since 1970 Deleu has dedicated himself to a complex and varied body of work consisting of buildings, city planning, design studies, sculptures, monuments and theoretical models. He is critical in his approach of public space and the gradual diminishment of the public character of public space is one of the recurring themes in his work.

The project Orban Space: The Work and Practice of Luc Deleu - T.O.P. office is a collaboration between Wouter Davidts (VU Amsterdam), Luc Deleu - T.O.P. office, Stroom Den Haag and Valiz books and cultural projects.

The project consists of an exhibition at Stroom Den Haag and a book published by Valiz. In concurrence with the project the website www.orbanism.org has been built hosting the complete archive of Luc Deleu's work. In March 2011 Stroom Den Haag hosted a 5-day international masterclass for students of a variety of disciplines and the authors who will contribute to the publication. The editors of the publication are: Wouter Davidts, Guy Châtel and Stefaan Vervoort. The authors are: Maarten Delbeke, Aglaia Konrad, Teresa Stoppani, Kersten Geers, Felicity Scott, John Macarthur, Marjolijn Dijkman, Guy Châtel, Metahaven (Vinca Kruk/Daniel van der Velden), Stefaan Vervoort, Manfred Pernice, Wouter Davidts, Luc Deleu and UP (Koenraad Dedobbeleer/Kris Kimpe).
