Lokaal 01_Antwerp - Residency Programme for Young Art Critics 2012

Lokaal 01_Antwerp calls for young art critics to reside in Antwerp in 2012!

Lokaal 01 is a research and exhibition space for contemporary art, with spaces in Antwerp (B) and Breda (NL). In Antwerp we offer art residencies of 4 weeks to national and international artists, with the emphasis on experiment and development. Also, since 2 years we offer a residency programme to young art critics. 

We require of the critic to follow the artist during his or her residency, to question and conversate with him or her, and to critically reflect on his or her artistic practice. 

We ask of the young art critic to lead one public conversation with the artist during his/her residency and to write a critical text, that takes the results of the residency as its starting point.

You can apply until Monday 21 November 2011 by sending in an application letter plus one to three relevant critical texts on visual arts.
