Double Take a production by Johan Grimonprez, won the Grand Prize at the New Media Film Festival in Los Angeles. The prize is good for a studio package in Los Angeles, worth $10.000.
The New Media Film Festival (held during the weekend of June 11-13) offers a platform to showcase innovative ideas and technology through visual media. It shows a mix of Internet-based short films, "webisodes," documentaries that deal with the way media influences and is influenced by real world affairs and feature films in which new media figures as a major story element. NMFF honors stories in all media that are innovative, imaginative, inspirational and go beyond the ordinary.
