Prison is always the others
The exhibition's approach to the prison system sees it as a part of our society with restrictions and freedoms of its own that allow the development of particular forms of discourse and exchange. The intention is to fetch the institution - prison - out of its isolated corner and to address it as a real and concrete place within society. The specially commissioned participatory works provide a link to the local prison system in Berlin.
