Communication and discussion between the sector and the VRT, management agreement, crossmedia projects, VRT archives.

Public service broadcasting plays an important societal role in both disseminating and supporting culture. This role, defined in the management agreement, consists in providing information and context in an ever deeper and broader manner and through a range of platforms, such as television, radio and the internet. The archive of the VRT (Flemish Radio and Television) represents an important part of Flemish cultural heritage, which must be both conserved and made available in ways that agree with various types of use.

In a context of media convergences and easily accessible media, there are even more possibilities: the media used by artists, organizations, magazines, dailies, weeklies and broadcasting can be bound together and interact with one another. It is also possible to develop topics in a cross-medial way in cooperation with different parties such as cultural players, broadcasting networks, private media and education. As a public broadcasting service, the VRT can lead by example and facilitate cooperation between these parties and the media.

Supporting organizations, including BAM, can help in the consultation and information flow between the sector and broadcasting.
